Chinese Pastries with Red Bean Fillings

Ingredient

Water, hot                           200      g
Hale’s Blue Boy Concentrated Strawberry Flavored Syrup       100     g
Cooked Glutinous Rice Flour                   200    g
Icing Sugar                              300     g
Shortening                               130     g
Food Coloring, Pink                             ¼   tsp
Chinese Mooncake Mould
Red Bean fillings, 10 g each
Cooked Glutinous Rice Flour for dusting

Method

1.Sift cooked glutinous rice flour with icing sugar into mixing bowl.
2.Mix hot water with Hale’s Blue Boy Concentrated Strawberry Flavored Syrup. Add into the mixing bowl with shortening and food coloring.
3.Mix with paddle attachment till well combined. Set aside.
4.Divide and scale at 10 g each. Make a round ball and roll out in circle shape. Add red bean fillings in the middle and cover.
5.Coat with cooked glutinous rice flour. Press in mooncake mould firmly and tap to remove. Refrigerate till serve.





Remark: Ratio of concentrated syrup and other ingredients can be adjusted according to consumers' preference in each region.
